TrueNAS 12 not showing my disks in WebUI

Hello ! It's my 1st post on this forum.

I have succesfully installed many times FreeNAS 11.2, or 11.3. But i recently tried to install the new 11.3U2 and even TrueNAS 12 Final, but for both i can't find my 2 1 To WD Enterprise disks on the webUI... It's really strange cause i retried the older versions and i've been able to see my disks and create a pool.

But i can find my disk using the shell. Check out my attached pictures.

Server model : HP Proliant ml310e gen8 v2
CPU : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1240 v3 @ 3.40GHz
RAM : 12 Go
2 x 1 To Western Digital Enterprise for pools
USB Stick for OS (TrueNAS 12 Final)

The disks may contain data already, so TrueNAS won't show them to you if they aren't part of a pool, but have data.

you can try

gpart destroy -F /dev/ada0
gpart destroy -F /dev/ada1

You may also need to partition them manually... not sure about it, so check first.

What do you mean TrueNAS 12 "Final"? 12 is pre-alpha at this point.

I have done other install to verify something. I will make another new install of TrueNAS 12 and will tell you if it works.

Yes sorry, it's TrueNAS 12 MASTER

Rebooting is *not* a solution to this issue IMHO. Every time I offline a disk and then add it back in I need to restart my server for it to show back up in the GUI...?

Disk shows via `geom disk list` but just doesn't under Storage/Disks. I can `zpool mport` the pool the disk is for as well and that suceeds, but the disk still doesn't show up in the GUI.

And the pool doesn't show up under /mnt/ either.... even though it shows as online?

How can this be resolved without rebooting?

Maybe you could restart the middleware?

Can you provide more information? I'm unsure of what exactly that entails.

Well, you necro'd a thread that had been dead for over two years, from a different user, almost certainly using different hardware, and thus likely with a different underlying problem.

What hardware are you using? How are your disks connected? How did you create the pool that's on them? With what software did you previously use them? Which version of TrueNAS are you using? All of these would help understand what's going better than your reviving a long-dead thread that likely has nothing to do with your issue.

Im seeing this same issue (and its not the 1st time im seeing it).
All LSI HBAs + supermicro expander backplanes -> Everything on the CLI shows the correct disks, however the web-gui is the issue.
its still showing the old disks from a pool i properly exported (exported + deleted shared config, but did NOT delete data on the pool).

the drives have been physically removed, i have not rebooted yet (and dont want to).

all of these commands from the cli show the proper / correct disks (including 4x newly inserted sas SSD drives)
glabel status
camcontrol devlist
camcontrol readcap da47 -h
gstat
smartctl /dev/daXX

however over in the gui View Disks , add new pool, or add vDev to a existing pool, all show me the old , removed disks.

currently running TrueNAS-13.0-U3.1
I wish there was a way to have the webGUI /middleware reload its disk info (or rePopulate its DB of disk info), or something similar to the restart middleware service that used to exist back in FN 11 and prior.

(in img i then checked off Confirm, and proceded, it completed without error, but even after pulling this pools disks, and re-inserting a few new, un-related disks, the webgui is showing me the prior (old) disks)

Have you cleared your browser cache?

And why would you not want to reboot?

Have you tried restarting the middleware? (service middlewared restart)
