Hi, I am currently setting up nextcloud on Truenas Core 12 in a jail, and it is working fine.
However, to access the files of a dataset on my NAS I must:

- 1: add an external storage with a mount point in nextcloud (I had done done it but it was not the best options as you have to put all the files in the same folder, you don't see deleted files...)
or
- 2: create a mount point from the "/mnt/<mypool>/iocage/jails/Nextcloud/root/usr/local/www/nextcloud/data/ncadmin/files" to "/mnt/<mypool>/<newdataset>" and then share via SMB the <newdataset> to view, access, modify, use snapshots(I don't know if it is possible)...

The second solution is not working entirely, I can add files from nextcloud and access them via smb but not the other way around. I suppose it is a matter of autorisation but I don't know ?

My setup:
  • Asus Motherboard
  • AMD 8-cores CPU
  • 8Go RAM
  • 2 500Go HDD in a miror raid, and using 2 flash drives to boot
Thanks in advance.
