I'm trying to install a new version of FreeNAS 8 onto a server that was running an earlier version of FreeNAS (not sure what version, not really relevant.)
I removed the dead hard drive and installed an IDE CF card reader and 2GB CF card. The boot messages indicate that FreeNAS sees the CF card and the other three drives that are the RAID array, but then it gets stuck looping this message (I booted in verbose mode to get the detail):
ata0: reset tp1 mask=03 ostat0=58 ostat1=00
ata0: stat0=0x50 err=0x01 lsb=0x00 msb=0x00
ata0: stat1=0x00 err=0x00 lsb=0x00 msb=0x00
ata0: reset tp2 stat0=50 stat1=00 devices=0x01
(ada3:ata0:0:0:0) Command timed out
(ada3:ata0:0:0:0) Retrying command
ata0: DMA limited to UDMA33, Controller found non-ATA66 cable
It just keeps repeating this message.
Any thoughts?
