Hi all,
I turned off my FreeNAS server (FreeNAS-11.1-U5) while i was away from home. Transmission was working fine before that event.
Now that I'm back home, I found out that the Transmission Web is not showing anything.
I cannot turn it on using the GUI, it keeps showing OFF even i clicked on the button.
I try to use ./transmission start command, but it won't work either.
root@transmission_1:/usr/pbi/transmission-amd64/etc/rc.d # pwd
/usr/pbi/transmission-amd64/etc/rc.d
root@transmission_1:/usr/pbi/transmission-amd64/etc/rc.d # ./transmission start
usage: chown [-fhvx] [-R [-H | -L | -P]] owner[:group] file ...
chown [-fhvx] [-R [-H | -L | -P]] :group file ...
Starting transmission.
login class 'daemon' non-existent, using default
su: pam_start: system error
./transmission: WARNING: failed to start transmission
/var/log/messages show :

Aug 10 14:59:44 transmission_1 limits: login_getclass: unknown class 'daemon'
Aug 10 14:59:44 transmission_1 su: in openpam_check_desc_owner_perms(): /etc/pam.d/su: insecure ownership or permissions
Aug 10 14:59:44 transmission_1 su: pam_start: system error
Aug 10 14:59:44 transmission_1 root: /usr/local/etc/rc.d/transmission: WARNING: failed to start transmission
What kind of ownership has been changed after my reboot of the server? can someone gives a hint?
Many thanks.
