Hello. Transmission has started crashing on me and I can't figure out why. By crash I mean that I have to stop and then restart the Jail for it to work again. The plugin has worked faultlessly for a long time and has only just started to do this. I have already tried deleting the Jail and starting from scratch, but this hasn't fixed anything. If I check the Transmission log file I see that it's empty.

Can anyone suggest how to go about tackling this?

Cheers,
Chris.

Thanks for the reply.

Can anyone comment on whether or not those messages are related to my problem? I have no idea what they mean.

Cheers.
Chris.

Those aren't related.. What are your system specs? Do you only have one jail for transmission? What about network configuration?

Arh OK
My system is an Intel i5 860s on a Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H motherboard with 16GB of RAM.
Yes I have several Jails with a separate one for Transmission.
My router has a reservation (DHCP) for my server. My hostnam is "Server, my domain is "Local" and my default gateway is the IP of my router.

Thanks,
Chris.

When transmission stops responding, can you ping it by the jail's IP?

So, it's pingable... If you type sockstat on the FreeNAS system when transmission is not responding, is it showing the transmission service is still running?

Ok well I ran that and the only line that contained "Transmission" was this one...

Code:
921      transmissi 51890 13 dgram  -> /var/run/log

I think I have fixed it. I just used the GUI upgrade feature to reinstall FreeNAS 9.2.1.5 and so far all is going good.
