Timestamps on security logs?

As it is now with FreeNAS, we get emails like:

freenas.local kernel log messages:

igb0: link state changed to DOWN
igb0: link state changed to UP

-- End of security output --

That's not really helpful other than to tell me the OS thinks the link was down for some unspecified period of time. Was it down for 10 ms, 10 minutes, 20 hours? Who knows? Those emails would be more helpful if they had the timestamps.

Note that this subforum is for discussing feature requests, not making them.

Also note that what you are seeing is from the FreeBSD system message buffer which does not use timestamps.
