A couple of weeks ago i setup two TimeMachine accounts (iMac1 2019 Mojava, iMac2 2010 High Sierra) with dedicated database for each account over SMB share. iMac1 is working fine since the setup however iMac2 was working for a couple of days but then fail to backup, see attached screenshot. i redid all the setup for iMac 2 from scratch and now its backing up the data but i have a feeling it will happen again. is there any known issues with timemachine backup using smb share with legacy iMac 2010 High Sierra or some setting need to be enabled?
other strange issue i have is the TM hostname showing on the disk list as freenas.local (oldhostname) where it should be freenas.mynewdomainname.com.au. does anyone have a clue where the iMac pull the old hostname from? as i have changed it everywhere i know.
