Time Zone is the same, Time also.
What can be more as only NTP faultful setting?

Your timezone in the computer BIOS _must_ be set to UTC. Behavior otherwise on unix systems is at best undefined.

Tnuenas was installed on VMware esxi host. Time is utc

NTP client configured and running inside the VM? VM time tends to drift. Also disable VMware tools host to guest time sync.

As this is virtualised: are you following best practice and passing through an entire LSI HBA to the VM?
