Time Machine fails to backup citing full disk

I've created a time machine share using the tutorials and it worked once but now it fails stating the disk is full. I've gone to the share and cleaned up a lot of junk and now there is 129Gb available and I'm only backing up 40G from my Mac.

As you can see, according to FreeNAS there's plenty of room left.

Thoughts?

Did the Time Machine get constrained to a certain size when I created it because there wasn't much room on the volume? Should I destroy the share and recreate it?

I think you're on the right track. Try mounting the disk image in Finder and see what size it reports.
