Temporarily disconnecting network cable reboot or a long wait

When I unplug the ethernet cable from my TrueNAS scale server, then plug it back in after a few seconds, I cannot reach the server dashboard or my file shares from my PC until I either reboot the server or wait a few minutes for TrueNAS to realize the network is reconnected, after which which I see a lot of init messages on the console and the 1-9 menu is redisplayed. May I ask how long your TrueNAS server appears down after re-plugging the network cable?

I meant for my thread title to be "Temporarily disconnecting network cable requires reboot or a long wait." I see no way to change the title however.
