SUPERMICRO MBD-X10DAI-O as a test machine?

I'm considering buying a SUPERMICRO MBD-X10DAI-O motherboard to use for multiple purposes. I'm just getting started on my second FreeNAS build. I'm wanting a good multipurpose computer for other uses as well. The next build I'm working on is for a heavy duty business application. This board supports two processors and up to 512GB of Registered ECC RAM and might work well as a super FreeNAS controller. If it works out I might order one for the build. I will then use the first one as a test station for Hyper-V and/or VMWare. Will this board work for FreeNAS?
