SuperMicro AOC-SASLP-MV8?

I am putting together a semi-new system, that is trying to keep the price down by buying used and salvaging parts from my old system.

Asides from all the drives, I was also hoping to salvage the 2 SuperMicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 I have.

I did a brief looksee through the forum and most of the SuperMicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 mentions said it wasnt supported, but then again the newest i found was 2016 soooooo... are SuperMicro's AOC-SASLP-MV8 HBA supported now? Hopefully?

If not, any suggestions for reasonably priced/supported HBAs? Or, and forgive me, its been a loooong time since I put together a system, if I get the X10SL7-F with 8x SAS2 then it would moot right?

No.

Yes, or get an LSI HBA, recommended ones are based on the SAS2008, 2308 or 3008 chipset.
