Hi new to the forums and a little confused on why my SuperMicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 is not being registered in 9.10, the 9.10 install was fine to my SSD off the MB sata port, once installed and in the webui there are NO lights on the HBA, it's like theres no driver support for this card.

I have confirmed with other Linux installs Mint/ Fedora / Ubuntu that my HBA card is working just fine and seeing my drives.

Could this be an IT mode situation?

please advise.
thanks AJC

I did a quick search here and can't find anyone who has had any luck with that card. It's an old 3Gb/s card, doesn't support larger drives, and is based on a Marvell chipset. FreeBSD (and therefore FreeNAS) have historically had problems with Marvell controllers.

Your best bet is to get an LSI-based HBA such as an LSI 9211, IBM M1015, or Dell H200/H310. These can all be had for reasonable prices on eBay.
