Hello,
I know I am running an old system here, but I need to get my software Raid5 working before I can upgrade. Any help would be appreciated.
The other day I turned off my server, so I could mount it into a 19" rack and when I turned it back on the Software RAID will not mount. Under Mount Point Status it says Error. I clicked Retry but it would not mount, nor does it say what the error is.
My 3 disk show up as being Online under Disk Management. S.M.A.R.T. does not show any error for the HDD. Under the Software RAID screen it shows that the status as being Complete.
In the log I see:
kernel: kldload: /boot/kernel/geom_vinum.ko: Unsupported file type
mountd[6264]: bad exports list line /mnt/RaidOne/
root: Error: Failed to mount /dev/raid5/RaidOnep1 using UFS
mbd[5666]: [2012/11/17 16:05:31, 0] nmbd/nmbd.c:terminate(58)
These are the only issues I see in the log. I have tried searching on the internet for information, but have failed to find any solutions to my problem. I would appreciate help towards solving this problem.
Thanks you.
J
