Software raid with asrock q1900

Probably a silly question but can any motherboard support forward raid with freenas or does the board to specify jbod?

Question is kinda confusing to me.
But overall, you would NOT want any motherboard to forward any type of RAID (Software or Hardware) to FreeNas.
FreeNas needs to have direct access to the drives.
The board should not need to specify JBOD, if it does please provide information/details on the Motherboard so the BIOS Settings can be verified/evaluated.

Also, that is a very bad choice of motherboard for FreeNAS. Or pretty much any application, really. Q1900 is bottom of the barrel stuff.
