Hi,
I have had high CPU on my FreeNAS recently. I started debugging it, and noticed that /usr/local/bin/snmp-agent.py gets very often run, and tops the CPU for some time. I have forgotten it enabled as I used to query it years ago, but haven't had any use for it in long time. No one calls SNMP over network. I verified with tcpdump.
So why on earth is SNMP service loading the CPU as no one queries it?
Just disabling the service takes loads away. Also graphs have a noticeable difference. Loads drop from 1.7 to ~0.5 instantly after disabling SNMP.
