Hey All!
New to the truenas scale world but struggling transfering my data over from my old ubuntu server.
TrueNas Scale setup
R730xd
E5-2690's
768 Gb DDR4
4 2TB NVMe's in Raidz1
6 2TB SSD's in Raidz2
3 10TB WD Golds in Raidz1
Intel NIC 10 GB hooked up to USW Pro24 10GB SFP+ port
The old server is hooked up directly to the switch via 1Gbe
Iperf3 test clocks outs at 950 between the two PC's... here is where I struggle.
SMB transfer between the PC's maxes at 16 MB/s period. It also maxes at 16 MB/s between the server and any other PC on the network. It also maxes at 16 MB/s period between any PC on the switch at any given time. If I start a transfer from the 730xd to my old server and initiate a transfer from the 730xd to my windows 11 PC... they balance at 16 MB/s total.
I have TB's of data to move and this is just not ok. I figured maybe it was a limitation of my old SMB setup on the last PC but when I'm moving from the server to another device that is also stuck at 16 MB/s.
With a 10G SFP+ setup I'd take at least 100... not 16.
