Hi,
I have just upgraded my FreeNAS 8.0 AMD64 to 8.0.2 AMD64 with the install CD. I decided to use S.M.A.R.T. for testing my HDDs. So I set up SMART Tests, checked the Enable SMART setting for the disk and tried to start smartd. But it sais:
configuration file /usr/local/etc/smartd.conf parsed but has no entries
And yes, the smartd.conf is empty. All it has is:
################################################
# smartd.conf generated by FreeNAS
################################################
The modification time of the smartd.conf file is right, when I save the smart test on the web gui the file's timestamp changes. But still no entries in the file.
Can someone help me to start the smartd?
