SMART Problem bei einer Platte

Ich hatte mein NAS mit einem ZFS-Volume von 5 x 3TB im Raidz1 aufgesetzt und die knapp 8TB an Daten sind fast alle auf dem neuen NAS.
Nun habe ich heute mit der Einrichtung begonnen und hab plötzlich viele Mails vom SMART-Check bekommen, jedoch sehe ich die Ursache des Problems nicht, bzw. wieso die Festplatte /dev/ada0 Failed.

Wäre einer so freundlich und könnte mir sagen, warum smartctl da meckert?

Wichtig zu sagen wäre noch, dass ich ECC Ram benutze, bei dem ich überprüft habe ob er auch ordnungsgemäß verwendet wird und, dass ich noch einen PCI 4Port Sata Controller verwende,
an dem 4 Platten hängen. Das bedeutet, /dev/ada0 könnte die eine Platte sein, die am Mainboard direkt hängt. (Die Platten laufen seit 5 Tagen durchgehend und werden seit 3 Tagen beschrieben, bisher gab es keine Probleme.)

Daran liegt es wahrscheinlich.

Ich hielt das halt irgendwie für Schwachsinn, da ja 4 Platten am PCI Sata-Controller hängen und die alle OK zurück geben.
BZW. 4 Platten geben OK zurück.
Aber wenn das an dem PCI Sata-Controller liegt, dann heißt das wohl smartctl mag meinen Onboard Controller nicht?
Punkto Datensicherheit ist es mir sowieso recht egal, da ich noch einen zweiten Server habe, auf den die Daten von meiner Hauptstorage gebackupt werden.
Der Backup-Server läuft ebenfalls mit 5 x 3TB in einem Raidz1.
Die kritischte Phase sehe ich noch, wenn der Kopiervorgang von Storage-alt beendet ist und alles auf Hauptstorage liegt,
ich dann Storage-Alt platt mache, die Platten formatiere und diese, mit noch einer zusätzlichen Platte, in den Baugleichen Storage-Backup einbaue.
Aber ich kann ja da mal schauen ob smartctl dort auch meckert, ansonsten ist wohl angesagt, dass ich einfach auf den Tod einer Platte warten muss, oder sehe ich da was falsch?

Wobei mir nebenbei noch eine kleine Dummheit von mir einfällt.
Die Platten am PCI Controller wurden als IDE erkannt, was ich hätte im BIOS umstellen können.
Liegt es eventuell daran?
Macht es was aus, wenn ich von IDE einfach in AHCI ändere?

Was ist die komplette Hardware, eigentlich?

Die Platten am PCI Controller wurden als IDE erkannt, was ich hätte im BIOS umstellen können.
Liegt es eventuell daran?
Macht es was aus, wenn ich von IDE einfach in AHCI ändere?

Könnte helfen, finde ich aber komisch, da der BIOS selbst nur von onboard sachen weiß - andere Kontroller müssten eigentlich separate BIOS extension ROMs haben, wo sie dann, wenn nötig, konfiguriert werden können.

Ich glaube wir reden aneinander vorbei.^^
Alle Platten werden ordnungsgemäß im Bios erkannt. Die, die Onboard angeschlossen sind, werden als SATA/AHCI angenommen und die vom PCI Sata Controller als IDE.
Mich hatte das soweit nicht weiter gestört.
Und die 4 Platten sind am PCI Controller angeschlossen, womit auch 4 Platten im BIOS als IDE gekennzeichnet sind.

HW ist:
Athlon II 240e
4GB ECC Ram Kingston
M5A78LM-LX3 Mainboard
Sata-PCIe=Digitus DS-30104-1
5 x 3TB WD Red
350 Watt BeQuiet L8

(PCIe Sata Karte steckt im Grafikkarten Slot, das stellt aber keinerlei Problem oder Inkompatibilitäten dar.)
Bei beiden Servern ist die exakt gleiche Hardware verbaut.

Nein, ich finde es komisch, dass die Platten vom Kontroller im BIOS auftauchen. AHCI ist auf jeden Fall die richtige Auswahl.

HW ist:
Athlon II 240e
4GB ECC Ram Kingston
M5A78LM-LX3 Mainboard
Sata-PCIe=Digitus DS-30104-1
5 x 3TB WD Red
350 Watt BeQuiet L8

4GB reichen für FreeNAS 9.3 nicht aus. Minimum ist 8GB, 16GB ist aber besser.

Der Kontroller ist auch dafür bekannt, dass nicht alles in FreeNAS richtig funktioniert. ASRock hat eine spezielle Firmware (für die C2x50 Motherboards), die besser funktionieren soll - vielleicht gibt es etwas direkt von Marvell.

Ja, das mit dem Ram ist ein Problem, dass weiß ich. 4GB sind nachgerüstet.
Jedoch nun was interessantes.
/dev/ada1 ist nun ebenfalls mit dem gleichen Output.
Das ist nach dem installieren und anschließendem neustarten des aktuellen Updates geschehen.
Hast du, oder jemand anderes, noch eine Idee dazu?

Der Temperatur-Check scheint aber auf allen Platten zu funktionieren.
