Slow to open PDF Files

Hi Guys,

I recently installed another 2 x 3gb WD red and setup another pool (Mirror) which takes a ZFR replication of my main pool (2x3GB WD Reds). My CIFS were a bit slow so I read the sticky at the top of this forum and this code to the shares:

Things were great until ZFR replication was setup, now it's taking ~45 seconds to open a 175kb PDF? I have the encryption set to standard, I have tried Fast but haven't noticed any change.

My system is Intel Avoton C2750 with 32gb ram and FreeNas 9.10 stable.

Any ideas?

Are you sure it's FreeNAS slowing things down and not your client? What happens when you copy the PDF from your FreeNAS to your desktop and open it there?

It opens as normal on local machine. Some of the PDF's open as expected, others not so much. Perhaps it is a cache issue?

No. It sounds like something is broken. Probably your samba config or permissions. Post contents of /usr/local/etc/smb4.conf.
