Setting config values for the Web UI from command line

Is it possible to set config values for the Web UI from the CLI? I would like to automatically switch the color scheme depending on the time of day. During the daytime I prefer a light color scheme and during night time I prefer a dark color scheme. I don't think that there is an option for this, so that's why I would like to write a script to change this.

You should be able to do it using the API--if it isn't documented at api.freenas.org, it might be worth a bug/feature report.
