**** Note: I decided to reinstall FreeNAS so i am leaving this post here to try and figure out why this broke my config ***

Hi everybody,

Plex disappeared somehow from my FreeNAS install so i decided to reinstall it. I updated to the latest FreeNAS and then installed Plex.

I could get it connected but it wouldnt play videos, so i found a guide say to go to Plex jail settings and enable VNET, Berkley Packet Filter and set the default router for the VNET and accept raw connections. I did all this, but after that i couldn't connect to the Plex server anymore.

Then I tried adding em0 to the VNET interface list for the Plex jail and after I hit Save the FreeNAS page timed out.

Now I can't connect at all to FreeNAS. I realized after all of this the guide I followed said to set the interface for Plex during initial setup to "em0 or your interface name".
i don't know if this is what i did wrong, or if i shouldn't have added em0 to the VNET interface list.

Anyway will i be able to get back into my freeNAS somehow or is it looking like re-install with my last config backup?

Can you still access the interface?
otherwise, I'd recommend doing an IP scan on your home network, it's gotta be somewhere and it could be you mistakenly put it on DHCP so it's not on it's fixed IP anymore.
if you can't really find it and tried everything I'd recommend setting up a monitor and see what's the problem directly on the system instead of remote
anyway, good luck!

Hi, yes i got it solved! It turned out the iocage jail was stealing the interface rendering the machine inaccessible. I was able to delete that iocage jail and it worked again.
