Server Backup

I know this is a bit outside of the realm of this forum, but with a FreeNAS build, would you recommend offsite backup (ie via Rsync or snapshots) or tape backup

Both. Tape for general recovery. Offsite for when your tape is burned in the same fire that took down your primary server.

It's very much a personal choice based on what is easier, cheaper, faster, more realistic to backup AND recover, etc.
