I'm trying to configure an old box with IPMI and Console Redirection. In order to get console redirection working during boot, I have to make sure the port (COM2 in Dell BMC) and speed match up with whatever FreeBSD/FN is using at the boot loader level. I'll change all the configurable speed settings to match whatever the BSD boot loader is using.

Did a quick search but no luck. I'll dig more but wanted to see if anyone knew off hand.

Thanks,

I'm not sure if this will help.. I've never tried this with IPMI.. http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Settings#Advanced_Tab

Thanks but I'm pretty sure that is after boot. This is where I'll configure the settings to match those of the boot loader. If I want to be able to see boot messages/options, I have to set this correctly or it's BIOS access and post then no serial redirection until the OS fully loads.
