Scan to freeNAS authentication failed

hi all,
We update the new multi-function printer for scan file to FREENAS CIF (9.10) are failed to freenas (old printer are success scan same setting)

That will show authentication failed or no respond, but that may hv 1/10 chance of success to scan
My Freenas is setting dataset permission, the "scan" account hv Read write excute right.

So I try to set "scan" account Home Directory to scan folder, the will success scan all time.
may i know what problem of why scanner cannot scan via dataset permission

there are no domain and freenas default workgroup

is are normal dataset Share type

Agree with this, change the "Permission Type" to "Windows" and try again.

Also: older printers may only support obsolete protocols which may not be enabled by default in FreeNAS.
