Samba on nvidia shield

I'm new to FreeNAS and previously ran something similar on Debian. With that I was able to mount my Samba shares on my Nvidia Shield. Now that I'm in FreeNAS I do have samba working on my desktop as expected but for the Shield I can only add samba shares manually. When I try to mount it or browse for the shares I don't find them.

Googling makes me think it could be something to do with nmbd but that's as far as I've got. I know it's I think part of samba but I haven't seen any options in FreeNAS for it.

Ah, I'd never have found that. I've tried the command with no success, so I also tried adding the Tunable setting and sadly that has no effect on my issue either. I've rebooted both the Shield and the FreeNAS server in the hope something would kick in but sadly not.
Thank you though for the suggestion, seems like I'd need to do it anyway.
