Safe boot vs Regular boot

I'm sorry if this is a little bit of a cross post, but I'm wondering if anyone has any idea why my system is behaving this way. I just built my first system (TrueNAS 12.0-U7) with the following hardware:
  • ASUS Prime Z690M-Plus D4
  • Intel i5-12600K
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz
  • Samsung 970 EVO Plus Series - 250GB PCIe NVMe - M.2
  • 10Gtek Internal PCI Express SAS/SATA HBA RAID Controller Card, SAS2008 Chip, 8-Port 6Gb/s, Same as SAS 9211-8I
  • 2 x Seagate - BarraCuda 8TB Internal SATA Hard Drive for Desktops
It installs fine, but panics at different times during a normal boot (attached). It boots fine in Safe Mode and I can see my disks (but none are attached to HBA yet). I guess I have two questions:
  1. Is my setup too new to be supported with the latest version of TrueNas?
  2. What is the danger/drawback of running in Safe Mode? How is it different than a regular boot?
