I upgraded to Coral including the storage upgrade... I knew it was risky but only use the server as a redundant backup.

The automatic downgrade is failing.

What is the process to downgrade with upgraded storage? Should I completly reformat the drives?

Thanks!

Steve

I'm not going to assume anything here so...

1) If you have a backup of your configuration file from FreeNAS 9.10.x, have it handy.
2) (Do this on a new boot device, USB works for this, don't destroy your original) Install 9.10.2-U2 new, do not retain any previous data.
3) After you reboot, restore your configuration.
4) Reboot and hopefully your pool attaches and all is good again.

I have been told that ZFS between 9.10.2-U2 and Corral was the same and you can go between the two. I have not tested this myself, call me chicken

Encrypted pool? There's a bug report for that.

You had me scared for a minute, thought I missed that he had encrypted drives.

They are not encrypted... Almost entirely images of youth sports.. Not worried about cyber threats.
