First of all: thank you. I've been running a RAIDZ3 pool for close to 10 years now, and it hasn't skipped a beat during all this time.

I am currently in the process of replacing/upgrading all 7 of my HGST 6TB HDDs with WD 14TB HDDs.

The first resilver took about 7 hours

scan: resilver in progress since (...)
15.9T scanned at 711M/s, 15.6T issued at 697M/s, 15.9T total
2.22T resilvered, 97.95% done, 00:08:11 to go

The second resilver will take about 9.5 hours
scan: resilver in progress since (...)
12.9T scanned at 480M/s, 12.7T issued at 474M/s, 15.9T total
1.81T resilvered, 79.89% done, 01:58:09 to go

Is this behavior within tolerances? I find it odd that two consecutive resilvers would result in 30%+ difference in time to complete.

Before I blame what looks like a perfectly healthy disk, I'd much appreciate your input.

Thanks!

Resilver #2 has taken over 12 hours. It took over 3 hours to go from 96.5% to 97%, after that it took a 'normal' amount of time for the rest.

Are these bumps normal? First time I'm resilvering :)

Depends on what else is going on at the same time on that system... lots of things can have an impact on resilver time.

You can also have resilver priority set which will stop it during some hours. (Tasks | Resilver Priority)
