Hey Guys,

I hope that this time somebody of you has an idea what's going on here.
So I'm using TrueNAS since about one Month now and just found out that the reporting is only working for exactly 7 days!
See screenshot attached:

I could not find any setting in the menue, also not in this forum or the documentation which tells how to change the log time.

OS Version:
TrueNAS-12.0-U4.1

Hardware:
Does this really matter in this case?!
- 64GB ECC RAM
- 4x 2TB (Storage) + 1x 256GB (OS)
- Intel I3-9300

Greetings & Thanks in Advance
V.

Can any of you recreate this situation?
I cannot believe that only 7 days of reporting files are stored.
If I check the settings, it tells me that its storing the data for about 12 months.
Even Netdata is giving more information ... but of course, does not have access to every data.

I'm not able to recreate your situation, I see 6 months worth of logs.

When you checked the settings, are you referring to the reporting settings in Settings > Reporting?

If it helps, this is how mine is configured. I haven't touched these settings.

Hi Russel,

Thanks for the reply - I thought already this forum is dead.
For me it's exactly the same setting as yours. The uptime is currently 10 days, but I only get 7 days of reporting. It seems like everything before gets deleted or something. I have no Idea how I could check this... I mean, maybe there is some kind of a config file or so, where this is set. But this is not documented :(

Statistics Reporting | (truenas.com)

From the article above it mentions that collectd is used for reporting, maybe try looking for answers to collectd problems?

I assume you haven't changed the location of reporting data as below?
Sorry I can't be of more help, good luck.

Data files are saved in /var/db/collectd/rrd/.

Reporting data is frequently written and should not be stored on the boot pool or operating system device.

Yes, its written to the data pool (RAID-Z1):

But same here: the help function is not really helpfull as I don't understand if I should check the box or not. Currently it is set like above.
It's not stored on the boot pool.
Do I need to store it on a differend location then the "user data" ?
I mean I really don't get it, as there is enough memory (RAM and disk).

thanks anyway Russel :)
