I have two FreeNAS servers (both running 11.3-U5). The primary server (FreeNAS1) holds all of the files in my production environment. The second server (FreeNAS2BU) will be primarily used for replication of the FreeNAS1 system plus transient storage for sandboxes and some project data.
I setup a Replication task to send all of the data in the FreeNAS1 dataset (the topmost dataset) to the FreeNAS2BU/Backup directory on the 2nd server. After it ran I saw I was not getting all of the directories.
What I noticed was that the Replication setup was not seeing all of the directories, sub-directories and files. Figure 1 shows what I selected but the FreeNAS1-SMB share doesn't have any of the relevant subdirectories.
Figure 2 shows the sub-directories that are there when I access FreeNAS1-SMB via SSH or via a mapped drive.
Figure 3 shows how the FreeNAS1-SMB is setup.
My guess is that there is a problem ACLs or permissions, but I'm having trouble tracking it down and would appreciate some guidance from the community.
Thanks.
