It finally happened! After 7 years...my mirrored USB sticks failed me..no more USB sticks!

What I have done is since I had double redundancy, I removed one 2Tb HD and replaced with an old Intel 320 SSD...and hope to mirror that after I assured the pool is all set. In installed a fresh TrueNas12 on the SSD and had it search and find my pool.

Pool was founds...all data look there...but it is now running in Degraded state.

Is there a way to tell the pool to ‘resize’ to a 5 disk from a 6 disk pool. Obviously I will lose space, but that will be okay for now.

I am hoping there is a nice simple answer, like upgrade pool!

Thanks for any help!

Not really unless you count building the pool again with only 5 disks and copying data back to it.

That's not so much a pool thing as it is a RAIDZ VDEV thing... once set, it can't be changed (for now... and never reduced, only increased when the RAIDZ expansion feature arrives).
