I'm planning on getting a new nas soon. My initial idea was use my old workstation that i don't use anymore, more info there https://www.truenas.com/community/t...-truenas-and-ecc-concerns.116713/#post-810385
However today i realized that my Dell Optiplex 3050 does support ecc and have a decent cpu as well, i3-7100T.
The only issue is that afaik there's no SATA ports on the mb. There's an NVME slot tho.
My idea would be to use an NVME to Sata adapter but i guess is not recomended https://www.truenas.com/community/r...t-multipliers-and-cheap-sata-controllers.177/
https://www.amazon.it/dp/B0CVKQ3M5M that the adapter i would use
What the best way to attach 4 drives to it?
Thanks a lot
