Hello everyone,
I've been using Freenas 7 for some time and never had any problems. I have 10 hard drives connected, 6 on the MB en 4 on a raid controller. This was no problem in Freenas 7.
Now in Freenas 8 the Disks connected to the raid controller are detected but with the wrong disk size. The 4 disks are 160GB each and two of them are detected as 500GB drives and the two other 1TB. Obviously I can't use the disks in any way. When I try to ad them I get the error "Error reading the disk size". It must have something to do with the raid controller because when I connect the disk to the MB the are detected correctly. Despite I've been using Freenas for some time I'm a noob to Linux, probably because I never had problems before. Do I need to install drivers for the raid controller and how do I do that?
Before I forget the controller has no brand on it but it uses the Silicon Image Sil3114CT176 chip.
Thx for the help
