We just had a thunder boomer pass through the neighbor and the UPS service shut the box down. I got and email notification that the UPS was on battery followed by SHUTDOWN. I was right here and know I never completely lost power, none of the other boxes I had running at the time shutdown. No doubt there was a power glitch and both the UPS and FreeNAS responded to it. Is there a way to make FreeNAS wait a minute or 2 before it shuts down after the UPS notifies it that power has been lost?

TIA

Yes, if you click on services / ups - I have the setting as shutdown after 30 seconds but you can increase it.

Or, you can just set it to "Shutdown Mode: UPS reaches low battery", which, if everything goes well, means the FreeNAS will stay on UPS until the battery signals that it is critically low. This is all in the Services->UPS->config menu.

Ahh, thanks. I decided to set it to 2 minutes. If the power stays off that long, I'd prefer it stays off until I start it back up. :)
