I'm setting up my FreeNAS in an old laptop. Currently, I'm running off of the laptop's included 40gb harddrive as a test, but my compact flash adapter is in the mail...

When that comes, I have a few options.
Personally, I'd rather have both running at the same time to maximize storage and possibility of upgrades. Right now, though, I'm running into a little bit of a wall in terms of power supplying.

I can't seem to find any 44 pin IDE cables with two heads. The closest I found was a 44 to 44/40. 44 pin laptop HDD's don't require another cable for power as the extra 4 pins on the cable are the power (that's my assumption). Does anyone know if it would be doable or wise to try and split off the 4 pins to attempt to power another hard drive? (or know of where I can find a 44 to 44/44)
