Plex Media Server won't turn on after FreeNAS reboot

First off, I'm new to this so I'm not a crazy code wizard. That said here is the issue:

Running FreeNAS Stable 9.3 & installed Plex server 0.9.11.7.803

On initial setup of fresh FreeNAS install, I create volumes, jails, and storage correctly. I install Plex server and get it configured. Works great, was running for 2 days. Been having issues trying to setup FTP and seeing it outside the network. I rebooted FreeNAS server after messing with some FTP settings. Plex plugin stays in the off position and I lose all connection to it at this point. Have to start fresh install of FreeNAS to get it to boot again and the cycle repeats.....Ideas?

Have fresh installed FreeNAS four times now thinking I did something wrong, however I know I followed the videos and documentation to the letter. I have made sure FreeNAS is up to date and tried reversing everything to get it to come back and it won't unless I do a clean install and never reboot it.

Server Specs:
- Gigabyte 1155 socket GA-Z77X-D3H (rev. 1.1) Bios: F18i
- Intel i5-3470 running at 3.2 ghz
- 16gb Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz gaming memory
- Onboard video
- Two Seagate NAS HDD ST2000VN000: Running mirror

Well it turns on now but I cant setup destination folder. Gives me this:

Going to try complete install and not update and see if it works

Well no luck, won't let me set the destination drive...any idea why that would be?

Someone else on the forum had the same error so it sounds like a bug. Please create a report at bugs.freenas.org and post the issue number here.

Hi,

I have the same pb as you regarding the error "Destination error...", it came from nowhere probably after an update.

For your plex setup check that:

1) your media is properly mounted
2) you may consider update the plex version within the plugin via the PMS_updater technique : https://github.com/mstinaff/PMS_Updater

Option 2) saved me various times in the past. Before trying 2) do make a snapshot of your jail!

No, if you look at the image I posted it's the the Plex Jail not the plugin list

Not sure if you are still having this issue OP but I have been for the last 8 months, updates have not fixed it, the only thing I am doing differently, is I'm making a symbolic link for '/var/db/plexdata/Plex Media Server' as I store the metadata in a folder on the NAS that I mount to the VM Jail due to the fact I can't rebuild my Plex library everytime the plugin crashes... anyway if you've had any progress, that would be great, I hate having to redo the jail every time we have a power outage, thinking about making a script to create the jail on boot...

Random person passing through but it sounds like you have lots of issues other than this. Plex runs perfectly and I think my uptime is 8+ months. There is no reason for it to crash and there isn't much to make it crash either.

Most problems with jails and plugins cover from people sharing their jail dataset, modifying permissions of jail files or modifying things in the jail from outside the jail. So if you have done those you need to delete everything and rebuild and never do those things again.

To clarify, if you install a plugin, enable it, and reboot your server. It no longer works?
If this is the case can you also show the output the command I posted in my previous post.
