Plex - Conversion Failed. A required codec...

Hi Everyone,

First of all, I am running the latest version of Scale. Not sure what else you need.

No matter which Plex app I use, when I try to play something in my browser I get "Conversion failed. A required codec could not be found or failed to install.". On the TV I get "An unknown error has occurred."

I think it's a permissions issue and I did create the Plex user with the puid and guid of 1000. That is set to full control on the dataset. I have tried so many things and am very frustrated.

Another reason I think it's permissions is I can't start or delete a VM. The blue circle just spins away. I am not so worried about that if I can get Plex working.

Please help.

Started running into the same issue just this month. Ever get it sorted?

I took out my P2000 from my box and threw it into a desktop for grins and turns out it bit the dust. Will need to get a replacement. Perhaps that's something you can try. Test on a desktop to make sure there is still life in the GPU

I am seeing this issue as well, but I think I've narrorwed it down to the movies I've ripped that have a Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. I don't recall having this issue with my previous Plex server running on a Proxmox Ubuntu container. I get similar errors using web browser and through my Roku devices. My Kodi box for the theater runs everything fine (straight sever pull from the SMB share).
