Hey everyone, I have been out of the loop for some time and am looking into moving from 11.1U7 to the 11.2 branch. I have been extremely critical of the new UI and the inconsistencies with the early revisions of 11.2 but as we have reached 11.2u5 I am considering updating.
My FreeNAS is virtualized on ESXi 6.7 with HBA passthrough and 32GB of RAM. Everything has been rock solid for the last year+ and has only been rebooted for hardware changes once.
My primary use case is iSCSI for the host as that's where all of my VMs live. I do have a few samba shares and one NFS that is used by a few of the VMs. As I have a rather large host (192GB 24 threads) I no longer run an jails.
Just looking for general feedback on gotchas that others have seen.
