noob question generic linux package

normaly i use the plugins but can i setup a server for a game that doesnt have a plugin but just a generic linux package?

You forgot to post the name of the game. Generally, a "generic linux package" probably won't work because FreeNAS is based on FreeBSD - not Linux.
