Hi all,

not super critical, but after a reboot, none of my jails auto-start, even though they're set to auto-start. I am not creating mount points to an encrypted pool, and all the jails start normally if I manually start them.

Any ideas on what to look at / where to look?

If you can update to 13.0-U3.1 and it still doesn't work, please report a bug.

No luck. Updated to 13.0-U3.1, and only two jails started on their own. Weirdly, both of them are 12.X jails--I wonder if that has anything to do with this?

but they still start manually?

Are these jails or Plugins?

It sounds like there is a dependency and the jail start happened before storage was ready. Is it a big system? please provide hardware description.

You can add a post-init command.

They're mostly jails, but a few plugins. I don't think it's a "big" system, it's a single pool consisting of 2 x mirror vdevs (so 4x 10TB drives total in a fairly old motherboard/system).

Most of these jails have been around since 12, and they were all starting up as expected on reboot.

What's odd to me is that 1-2 jails will auto start, but then that's it. And no matter how long I wait, the rest don't auto start, so then I start them manually.

It's not the worst thing in the world, since I can start the jails, and even if I'm away from my home lab, I should be able to VPN / SSH in and start them, but, you know, it would be nice to know why, and also not need to worry about it.
