is there any best practise how to stress test brand new 18TB drives?

not sure what i am looking for... was told drives has to be burn-in or how to say that before production use.. so it means badblock check only?

Take a look at this Resource also https://www.truenas.com/community/resources/building-burn-in-and-testing-your-freenas-system.38/ - same author as that I earlier suggested - and the text that accompanied the earlier one, too. They may help your orientation to the "burning-in" of drives. A search in the forum will bring other hits, too - this is an oft-discussed and debated topic.
