Hello fellow freenas gurus,

So i am looking to upgrade my old freenas box to something more powerful that can handle 1 4k transcode so something 1400ish passmark score.

I was thinking of going with this cpu that was recommended in another thread but i cant seem to find many micro atx boards for the 2011 socket.

CPU: INTEL XEON E5-2680V2 10 CORE 2.80 GHz 25M 8 GT/s 115W PROCESSOR (SR1A6) - - Price: US $188.00 **15800 passmark score**

I have the rest of the part list pretty figured out just cant seem to find a micro atx board that will do the trick. I do want to stick with the micro atx form factor as i currently have a node 804 and want to keep it. Maybe a different cpu with around same results on a newer board? I would prefer to stick to DDR3 as it is much cheaper and like i said i want a 1400 passmark or higher cpu.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Mark

Nevermind. I have looked high and low and couldn't find one. I have decided to go with the popular Supermicro X9SRL-F and get a new case.

Thanks anyways guys.

I have two X9SRL-F cases as my hypervisors. Love these boards.

Went supermicro xeon-d 1541 for FreeNAS.
