Ok guys I need some help. I am running 9.3.x stable but looks like one of the last updates did something to my system. I can get it to update anymore.

I have 2 jails. One running all my media plugins from joshruelig and the other with MySQL database for Kodi.

My question is can I reinstall FreeNAS from image to current stable version then import my jails etcs? I don't want to lose my files on the plugins and all the media files saved.

Sorry but I am pretty new to FreeNAS.

Download your config file, do a clean install, upload the config file. However, you can try to roll back to the previous (working) update (either using the grub menu when the system boots, or by selecting it from system -> boot in the web GUI), and then update to the current STABLE update.

I have tried that in the GUI. It will say On reboot but when reboots it's all on last update.

Also does the config file bring your pools back or need to import them? Also all the plugins will be there? Never used it before so just want to make sure and be as safe as I can.

I would just get a new USB and install a fresh installation then upload the configuration file. That way if you screw up you can still plug your old USB back in. The configuration file will import your pool and all your jails should be working since they live on your pool.

So I rolled boot back to default. When I try to update now getting a CREDITCAL: Update failed.

When off Wednesday I will get a 8gb USB and try to reinstall it.
