NAS use as a FTP Server

I am new in Free NAS.
Now i wanna build a project, FTP server.
But FTP server user is around of 1000.
so may i build FTP server on freeNAS?
Give me suggestion...

Sure, you can enable FTP on FreeNAS.

I wouldn't configure FreeNAS such that it is directly accessible to the Internet. There is too much attack surface available to hackers. FreeNAS is built to be used on a private network.
