Has any one tried this? NA-FC1 Fan controller Didn't find on searches here ...

Thinking about testing with three FAN-0102L4 on my new build.

Almost ready to start. The fan controller and the a X9SRL-F just arrived. Waiting on the little turbines to get started. Would be interesting to have some script logging CPU and memory temps, plus fan speeds. Will research, but if someone has any handy please let me know.

I've finished the installation and it works perfectly. The little controller can control up to three fans. The best setup would be using the cable that gets power from the PSU and the FAN signal from the motherboard.

That way you can power the chassis fans without damaging your motherboard drawing three fans from one connector only.

The output cable has three connectors: two only provide power to the fans and have three pins only; the third one has a pin to send fan speed information back to the motherboard, so it does take advantage of the motherboard sensors.

There is a option (highly recommended) to set the minimum speed to 300RPM, so even if your setting plus the motherboard speed control gets the fans below that speed, the fans won't stop.

As expected noise has going down.

For the systems using passive CPU cooler, I'd not advise to use it, as the CPU temp can get above the designed operation temperature.

I did like it for the little test system I've built and am planning to test it on my ESXi production server, but only after getting some scripts monitoring my temps and sending alarms when threshold is reached.
