I'm running older version of FreeNAS v 9.1.1.8 and cannot upgrade at this time as I don't have enough hardware. I think there are newer plugins that require the latest FreeNAS.
Anyway, my Plex Media server was complaining that it could not find server, but, what it really wanted was an upgrade. Doing the auto update did not work.
However, I listed all the available plugins and it showed a later version of the PlexMedia plugin.
I installed the new plugin and deleted the old one.
I only had to map the storage to the new PlexMedia plugin for everything to work.
