My First FreeNas Build

Cpu: Intel Pentium DUal-Core G3220
Ram: Corsair VenganceLP 1x8GB
HDD: 1xWD3Tb Red & 3xWD1Tb Green
USB(install): Kingston Data Traveller Ultimate 32GB(it was a buy 1 get 1/2 off)
PSU: Corsair CX430m
Case: BitFenix Prodigy Arctic White

Purpose:
Media Back Up
Media streaming to tablet for when around the city
Video Game back up (.isos)
Personal Cloud to share with family and friends.
Need it to be online 24/7 (quiet)

That has non-ECC RAM(and doesn't support ECC RAM) so it is not a good fit for FreeNAS.

Yes. Running without ecc ram is downright dangerous. The good news is that your CPU supports ecc ram. So you only need a different motherboard and memory stick.

Going to have to wait a few months to order a new mobo and ram. Just spent all my Christmas money on this build. Lesson learned don't make purchases when overly excited.

The motherboard doesn't support ECC memory. I understand your goal is to use ECC.
The memory isn't compatible with the mobo anyway (the board works with unbuffered 204-pin SODIMMs, your memory stick is a registered 240-pin DIMM).

Ahhh man! You guys have any reccomendation for Mini-ItX with ECC Boards?

I can bring everything else back but the case since I threw the box out. I have 7 days to bring back the motherboard, ram, and cpu.
