Mutil Nic and Mutil network / routing

I am a newbie to FreeNas

I have a box with 2 nic

nic1 (public ipaddres) pubilc gateway
nic2 (private ipaddress inside vpn tunnel) (gateway is 192.168.10.1)

I want all traffic to go out on public gateway for http / admin

NFS traffic to go out on nic2 and 192.168.20.0/24 to be route to nic2 to gateway of 192.168.10.1

Can this be done?

Before you go any further, what is the rationale of putting the box on public facing IP?
