SOLVED Mounting Dataset with Child Datasets

There are a couple of threads about this, but I have not found a clear-cut answer.
I have a 1 dataset with 4 child datasets.

Is it in any way possible to mount the parent without mounting the children inside a jail?
I have tried and it seems it does not work, and from the other threads I read, it also points towards it not working.

I just want a yes and no answer.

Do I have to mount the 4 children separate, or can I just mount the parent?

there may be ways to hack it but why? what are you trying to even do?

Im trying to get away with mounting a single dataset (the parent) instead of multiple ones. Its slightly more work to mount 4 datasets instead of just one, but I suppose you only do it once.

ohhh. i misunderstood. i thought you were trying to mount the parent into the jail without the children being available to that jail.

the answer is no; if you have them separate, you need to mount them separately.
